Acanthodoras cataphractus

Acanthodoras cataphractus are peaceful, hardy, and nocturnal fish known for communicating through sound, hence their common name 'Talking Catfish'. They are armored catfish with a unique ability to 'grunt'. They thrive in well-decorated aquariums that offer plenty of hiding places such as caves, plants, and driftwood. It's important to feed them a varied diet that includes sinking pellets and live or frozen foods. Compatibility-wise, they can coexist with other non-aggressive tankmates.
