Ageneiosus ucayalensis, commonly known as the Driftwood Catfish, is a nocturnal species best suited to larger community tanks with ample hiding spaces built from driftwood and rocks. They are predatory and should not be kept with very small fish. Since they are sensitive to changes in water quality, maintaining high water standards through regular changes and quality filtration is essential. Be cautious about pairing them with aggressive species, as they are generally peaceful but can become defensive if threatened.
