Akysis varius

The Harlequin Catfish, or Akysis varius, is a small, hardy species suitable for peaceful community tanks. They are nocturnal and prefer dimly lit environments. A well-structured aquarium with hiding places like caves and dense vegetation caters to their natural behavior. Sand substrate is preferred to protect their delicate barbels.
