Ancistrus aguaboensis

Ancistrus aguaboensis, commonly known as the Aguabo Catfish or Bristlenose Pleco, is celebrated among aquarists for its role in algae control within aquariums. It features unique bristle-like structures on its face, notably in mature males, adding to its distinct appearance. This peaceful species is best kept in aquariums with ample hiding spaces and driftwood, which aids in digestion. It is a nocturnal feeder and will benefit from a diet consisting of vegetables, sinking pellets, and occasional protein sources.
