Apistogramma assurini

Apistogramma assurini is a beautifully colored dwarf cichlid species, known for its vibrant hues and characteristic fishing habits. They prefer densely planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots, mimicking their natural dense, leaf-litter, soft substrates. Like many cichlids, they can display territorial behavior, especially during breeding seasons. An ideal habitat would include enough space and visual barriers to allow them to establish territories without constant confrontation.
