Apistogramma playayacu

Apistogramma playayacu is a small, colorful, and peaceful dwarf cichlid popular in the aquarium trade. It is highly territorial and should be kept in a tank with plenty of hiding spaces created by plants and rocks. Pairing ideally includes one male with multiple females. The fish displays fascinating breeding behavior with the female taking care of the young.
