Apistogramma sattelfleck
Saddled Apistogramma, Sattelfleck Cichlid
Apistogramma sattelfleck is a peaceful, yet territorial cichlid, very popular among dwarf cichlid enthusiasts. It's important to provide them with plenty of hiding spaces in the form of caves, PVC pipes, and dense vegetation. Suitable tank mates include peaceful, similarly-sized fish like small tetras or other dwarf cichlids. Known for their intricate social behaviors and breeding rituals, they often form monogamous pairs during mating. A varied diet of falling pellets, brine shrimp, and daphnia offers the best nutrition.
