Aplocheilus dayi is known for its vibrant coloration. This fish is relatively peaceful and can be housed with other community fish, provided the tank mates aren't fin-nippers or too aggressive. Their natural tendency is to swim along the top of the tank, so a tank with a lid is preferable to prevent jumping out.
