Auchenipterichthys coracoideus

The Auchenipterichthys coracoideus, often referred to as the Giraffe Catfish or Spotted Woodcat, is a shy and nocturnal species. It is known for its unique camouflage appearance resembling driftwood, which helps it evade predators. This species is peaceful in nature and thrives in a well-planted tank with plenty of hiding places. It is essential to maintain a well-covered tank due to its ability to jump. Frequent water changes are advisable to maintain water quality, and it is tolerant of varying water parameters close to its natural habitat. A community tank is ideal as long as tank mates are peaceful and do not outcompete for food.
