Badis siamensis

Badis siamensis is a colorful and peaceful species popular among aquarists. While generally peaceful, it can exhibit territorial behavior, especially during breeding. They appreciate heavily planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots. Often mistaken for dwarf cichlids due to their captivating colors and similar tank requirements, they are actually a separate family altogether. Due to their carnivorous nature, a varied diet of live, frozen, or high-quality flake foods should be provided.
