Barbus arulius
Arulius Barb, Longfin Barb, Dawkinsia arulius
Arulius Barb is a peaceful and active species that enjoys swimming in schools. They are omnivorous and can be fed a diet of flake foods, live or frozen foods, and vegetables. It is important to provide a spacious tank with plenty of swimming space and a well-established filtration system. The tank should include some plants, driftwood, or rocks for hiding, but leave sufficient open space for active movement. Their long fins can be intriguing, but sometimes lead to fin-nipping if housed with aggressive species.
