Botia dario

Botia dario are peaceful loaches, known for their striking appearance with bold banded patterns. They are social and should be kept in groups of at least five to reduce stress and encourage natural behavior. Diet: Omnivorous, often feed on small invertebrates and plant matter in the wild. In aquariums, they accept high-quality sinking pellets, and their diet should be supplemented with live or frozen foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp. Behavioral Notes: They tend to be more active during twilight hours. Botia dario like to hide during the day; providing caves, driftwood, and dense plants in their tank setups can replicate their natural environment. Aggression: Generally peaceful, but they may nip at the fins of slow-moving or long-finned species if not sufficiently fed or housed in large groups.
