Charax condei is a relatively peaceful fish that can be housed in a community tank with other non-aggressive species. They inhabit the mid to upper water column and appreciate a tank with dense plant cover and some surface vegetation for shading. Being a schooling fish, it's advisable to keep them in groups of at least six to promote natural behavior. They are omnivorous, feeding on a mix of meaty and plant-based foods. While not overly demanding, maintaining stable water conditions is crucial for their well-being. Regular water changes are recommended to maintain water quality.
