Corydoras ambiacus is a peaceful schooling fish that thrives when kept in groups of six or more. They are known for their playful behavior and enjoy rummaging through the substrate, which should be soft to prevent injury to their barbels. Frequent water changes and a well-filtered tank are recommended to maintain optimal water quality. They are omnivorous, with a diet consisting of sinking pellets, bloodworms, and brine shrimp, alongside occasional vegetable matter. These are ideal fish for community tanks with other non-aggressive species.
