Corydoras davidsandsi is a peaceful and sociable bottom-dwelling fish, often thriving in numbers due to its shoaling nature. Like most Corydoras, it appreciates a substrate of fine sand or smooth gravel to protect its sensitive barbels. Spawning conditions can sometimes be triggered with slight temperature drops and increased water flow. Care should be taken to provide numerous hiding places and shaded areas with live or artificial plants in the aquarium. They often fare well in community tanks with similarly sized peaceful fish. A varied diet consisting of good quality sinking pellets, frozen or live foods will ensure adequate nutrition.
