Corydoras maculifer is a peaceful, bottom-dwelling species ideal for community tanks. These catfish are best kept in groups of at least six to exhibit natural behaviors. They are known for their interesting patterns and playful demeanor. As with other Corydoras, they do well in tanks with sandy substrates to protect their delicate barbels and appreciate the presence of hideouts and plants.
