Corydoras zygatus

Corydoras zygatus are peaceful, bottom-dwelling catfish known for their inquisitive nature and social behavior. They thrive in well-planted tanks with fine substrates such as sand, which help protect their sensitive barbels. These fish prefer to be kept in groups of at least four to six individuals to mimic their natural schooling behavior and reduce stress. Preferred environments include plenty of hiding spots and moderate water flow to replicate their natural stream habitats. Corydoras require regular maintenance and water changes to maintain water quality and reduce nitrate levels. Their diet should include a variety of sinking pellets, frozen foods, and occasional live foods to meet their nutritional requirements.
