Crossocheilus langei, commonly known as the Bala Shark, is a peaceful species despite its name. It is an active swimmer and requires plenty of space in a community tank. They are a communal species, best kept in groups of at least six to prevent stress and encourage natural behavior. They feed on algae, plant matter, and small invertebrates in the wild, so a balanced diet including flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods is recommended in captivity.
