Crossocheilus latius is an active swimmer, resembling the algae-eater species. They are peaceful yet lively, making them suitable for community tanks. Provide plenty of hiding spots and a strong current to replicate their natural habitat. These fish are known for their shoaling behavior, so it's advisable to keep them in a group of at least 5-6. Diet: Primarily herbivores, they thrive on a diet rich in algae, supplemented with plant matter, vegetables, and occasional high-quality sinking pellets. Behavior: They display active swimming behavior and are excellent algae controllers in aquariums, playing a valuable role in maintaining tank cleanliness. Compatibility: Compatible with similarly-sized non-aggressive fish. Avoid housing with overly aggressive or significantly larger tank mates.
