Dawkinsia rubrotinctus is a relatively peaceful schooling fish. They are active swimmers and do well in tanks with ample swimming space and a variety of live plants. Due to their communal nature, it's recommended to keep them in groups of six or more to encourage natural behaviors and reduce stress. They can coexist peacefully with other gentle tank mates.
