Devario acrostomus is a robust, active schooling fish that requires ample swimming space and a strong current. They exhibit shoaling behavior and are best kept in groups of at least six. The tank should be well-covered as these fish are known jumpers. Their natural habitat includes densely vegetated streams, so providing similar conditions in a tank setup with plenty of plants and hiding spots will help them exhibit natural behaviors.
