Gastromyzon scitulus
Hillstream Loach, Borneo Sucker Loach
The Hillstream Loach has a unique body shape adapted for clinging onto rocks in fast-flowing waters. They prefer mature tanks with strong currents, ample oxygenation, and algae-covered surfaces for grazing. Not overly aggressive, but may exhibit territorial behavior under stress or if tank space is limited. Best kept in groups of at least 3-5 to mimic natural schooling behavior and reduce territorial disputes.
