The Elephantnose Fish is a unique, brainy creature known for its extended chin-like appendage used to sense its surroundings. It is sensitive to water quality and requires a well-maintained environment. Due to its electrolocation abilities, it prefers a tank with dim lighting and plenty of hiding places. These fish are active and enjoy live or frozen food like bloodworms. They are relatively peaceful but might show territorial behavior to similarly shaped species.
