Hampala dispar, known for its distinctive dark vertical stripe that stretches across its body, is a visually striking freshwater fish. They are active swimmers and can be territorial, especially as juveniles. Because of their active nature, they require spacious aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Hard and soft objects alike can be added to simulate a more natural riverbed environment. Caution is advised when pairing them with smaller species due to their predatory instincts.
