Hemigrammus ocellifer

Hemigrammus ocellifer, or Head and Tail Light Tetra, are peaceful and schooling fish, making them an excellent choice for community aquariums. They exhibit vibrant colors, with distinct spots on the head and tail that appear to glow, hence the name. Care should be taken to ensure water parameters are stable, as they come from an environment rich in vegetation and subdued light. They are omnivorous and will thrive on a diet of flakes, small pellets, and occasional live foods like daphnia or brine shrimp.
