The Hyalobagrus ornatus is a peaceful and social species, making it ideal for community aquariums. They thrive in groups and should be kept in schools of at least six to exhibit natural behaviors. This species appreciates a well-decorated tank with plenty of hiding places, using plants and driftwood to mimic their natural environment. Diet should be varied and can include high-quality flake, small pellets, and live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp or daphnia.
