Hydrocynus vittatus

Hydrocynus vittatus is a fierce predator known for its rapid bursts of speed and powerful bite. It requires a large, heavily filtered tank due to its size and dynamic nature. Not suitable for community tanks unless with equally robust and large species. Well oxygenated water is ideal given their native fast-moving habitats. They have a silver, shiny body with vivid stripes and are renowned in the angling world for their fighting spirit.
