Hyphessobrycon loretoensis is known for its vibrant coloration and peaceful demeanor, making it an excellent choice for community tanks with other similarly disposed species. Due to their schooling nature, they should be kept in groups of at least six to enjoy their natural behavior. Providing a well-planted aquarium with ample swimming space and subdued lighting will mimic their natural habitat and enhance their colors. Regular water changes and a balanced diet consisting of high-quality flake food, micropellets, and live or frozen foods like daphnia or bloodworms will keep them healthy.
