Iodotropheus sprengerae

Iodotropheus sprengerae, commonly known as the Rusty Cichlid, is a peaceful member of the Mbuna group. It is a great choice for community tanks with other mild-tempered cichlids. The species has a striking lavender to rusty-brown coloration and benefits from environments rich in rocky substrates offering ample hiding spots. Although peaceful, adult males may become territorial, particularly during breeding.
