Kottelatia brittani, a medium-sized, peaceful freshwater fish, is well-suited for community aquariums. Its reflective silver scales catch ambient light beautifully, especially under aquarium lighting. This species appreciates a tank with plenty of swimming space, as well as hiding spots formed by plants or aquarium decorations. Dietarily, it is an omnivore and should be offered a balanced diet of high-quality flakes or pellets, supplemented with live or frozen foods. This will not only bring out its vibrant coloration but also keep it active and healthy. Due to its peaceful demeanor and the need for a specific habitat, it should be kept with other non-aggressive species that thrive in similar conditions.
