Kryptopterus bicirrhis

Kryptopterus bicirrhis is known for its almost transparent body, allowing the viewer to see its internal organs and skeleton, which gives it the common name 'Glass Catfish'. They are peaceful and best kept in schools of at least 5-6 fish in a tank that has gentle water flow and dim lighting to mimic their natural environment. These fish are excellent community tank members when housed with similar non-aggressive fish. Additionally, they are more active during the day compared to other catfish species which are nocturnal.
