L 026, commonly known as the Snowball Pleco, is an attractive freshwater catfish popular among aquarists for its striking appearance marked by its dark body covered with vibrant white spots. Being a reclusive species, it appreciates plenty of hiding spots in its environment made up of smooth rocks, driftwood, and other aquatic decor. A wood substrate diet is beneficial as it mimics its natural food sources in the wild, alongside algae-based foods and occasional proteins. Due to its preference for flowing, oxygen-rich water, maintaining excellent water quality and circulation is crucial. It's peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive fish, but requires ample space.
