L 110
Orange Spot Pleco, Peckoltia Orange, Orange Peckoltia
Peckoltia Vittata, or the Candy Striped Pleco, is popular among aquarium enthusiasts for its attractive appearance and peaceful nature. It is generally easy to care for and can adapt to a range of water conditions, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists.
This loricariid gets its common names from the striped patterns that run along its body, which resembles candy stripes. They are bottom-dwellers and will spend much of their time on submerged surfaces, camouflaging among decorations and driftwood.
Like many plecos, L 110 feeds primarily on algae and detritus, but it's essential to supplement their diet with regular sinking pellets and occasional vegetable matter like cucumber or zucchini slices. They're generally not aggressive but can be somewhat territorial, especially if not provided with adequate hiding spots or if tank space is limited.
