Labeo variegatus

Labeo variegatus is an active swimmer and can grow quite large, necessitating spacious tanks. It is not particularly aggressive but can display territorial behaviors, especially towards fish with similar size and appearance. It is advised to house them with other robust fish in a community setting. Would benefit from a planted aquarium with both open swimming areas and hiding spots.
