The Lamprologus kungweensis is a small to medium-sized shell-dwelling cichlid known for being territorial, especially during breeding. They are best suited for species tanks or kept with other non-aggressive fish of a similar size. Having plenty of hiding spaces in the form of rocks and shells is beneficial.
