Lepidocephalichthys goalparensis, commonly known as the Goalpara Loach, is a small and peaceful species often cherished for its unique appearance and behavior. It is ideal for community tanks with similarly sized and temperament fish. Prefers a well-decorated tank with plenty of hiding spaces and a gentle current to mimic river conditions. Regular water changes are beneficial, as they are sensitive to quality deterioration. Feeding should include a mix of sinking pellets, live, or frozen foods such as daphnia and bloodworms.
