The Longnose Gar is known for its elongated body and snout filled with needle-sharp teeth. They are ancient fish, descendants of a lineage that has existed for millions of years. Ideal for large freshwater tank setups, they require ample space to coexist peacefully. They are predatory and require a diet of live prey like fish or shrimp. Their tank should have a secure cover, as gars are known to jump.
