Macrognathus aculeatus

Macrognathus aculeatus is a relatively peaceful species ideal for community tanks but can display territorial behavior towards conspecifics, especially during feeding. They prefer a heavily planted tank with plenty of hiding spots such as caves or driftwood. They are nocturnal feeders, primarily carnivorous, often feeding on worms, crustaceans, and other small invertebrates. Their eel-like shape allows them to squeeze into crevices, and they are known for their ability to bury themselves in substrate when feeling threatened.
