The tank should be well-planted providing plenty of hiding spots but also offering open swimming areas. Being a micropredator, a diet of small live or frozen foods is preferred, along with quality flake or pellet supplements. Regular water changes are essential to maintain water quality. The fish prefers dim lighting conditions to mimic its native environment. Ideal for community tanks with other small, non-aggressive species. Known for being relatively hardy, provided its environmental parameters are maintained consistently within the recommended range.
