Moenkhausia ceros is a peaceful and schooling fish that thrives in a planted aquarium. They prefer swimming in schools, which helps mimic their natural habitat. They embody beautiful silver coloration with distinctive geometric patterns. Because they are social, it's advisable to keep them in groups of at least 6, ideally within a well-planted tank to mimic their natural environment. They are generally hardy fish but sensitive to sudden changes in water parameters, so regular maintenance and monitoring of tank conditions are crucial. Their dietary preferences include high-quality flakes, freeze-dried foods, and occasional blanched vegetables.
