Native to the upper Orinoco River Basin, the Nannostomus rubrocaudatus is a small, peaceful fish ideal for community aquariums. Adapting to aquariums with dense vegetation, it thrives in slightly acidic, soft water conditions reminiscent of its natural habitat. They generally congregate in small groups and coexist well with similarly peaceful species. Biotope aquariums are recommended to emphasize their natural beauty and behavior.
