Nemacheilus corica is a small loach known for its social behavior, often best kept in groups of five or more. They are bottom-dwellers and enjoy fine substrate such as sand or smooth gravel. The habitat should include plenty of hiding spots using rocks, caves, and driftwood. Additionally, they are sensitive to water quality, making regular water changes vital. Their diet should be balanced, consisting of sinking pellets or wafers, live or frozen foods like bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Although peaceful, they might not be ideal residents with overly aggressive or much larger fish.
