Neolamprologus helianthus
Helio Cichlid, Sunspot Cichlid
Neolamprologus helianthus is a territorial and relatively aggressive fish, especially during breeding. They are best kept in a species-specific tank or with other similarly sized Tanganyikan cichlids. Lots of rock structures and caves should be provided to replicate their natural habitat and reduce aggression.
Distribution
Neolamprologus helianthus is endemic to Lake Tanganyika in East Africa, especially around the southern part of the lake's shoreline.References
