Pangio malayana
Malayan Kuhli Loach, Chocolate Kuhli Loach
Pangio malayana are bottom-dwelling fish that require a sandy substrate to prevent damage to their delicate barbels. They are peaceful and best kept in groups as they exhibit shy behavior when alone. Their habitat should mimic a riverbed with plenty of hiding spots using driftwood, caves, and plants. The tank should have a regular maintenance regime to manage the soft substrate and prevent it from compacting.
