Pethia cumingii is a peaceful and active schooling fish. It displays its best colors in well-planted aquariums and when kept in groups. It thrives in tanks with plenty of swimming space and a varied diet including flake, live, and frozen foods. Mimics its natural habitats by providing a soft substrate, dim lighting, and hiding spots using driftwood or rocks. Maintain good water quality through regular changes and efficient filtration. Ideal tank mates include other peaceful barbs, rasboras, and bottom-dwelling species.
