Phenacogrammus interruptus, commonly known as Congo Tetra, is renowned for its striking appearance and iridescent scales that mimic a spectrum of colors. Best kept in schools of at least six to maintain their social nature, they require plenty of swimming space. These peaceful tetras coexist well in a community aquarium with similarly sized, non-aggressive species.
