Placidochromis electra

*Placidochromis electra* is a peaceful and social cichlid, making it suitable for community tanks. It showcases brilliant electric blue hues across its body, best enhanced in a well-maintained environment. These fish exhibit mouthbrooding behavior, where females carry and protect eggs inside their mouths until the fry are developed enough to swim freely. They require adequate tank space due to their nature of swimming in the mid to bottom strata of the tank. Rock formations providing shelter and hiding spaces mimic their natural deep-water habitats and can reduce stress.
