Polycentrus schomburgkii

Polycentrus schomburgkii is a fascinating ambush predator with a leaf-like appearance that provides excellent camouflage. They prefer environments with plenty of plants, driftwood, and subdued lighting to mimic their natural habitat. The tank should have a tightly-fitting lid as these fish may try to jump. Known for their shy and somewhat reclusive nature, they are best kept alone or with similarly sized, non-aggressive species. Diet should mainly consist of live foods, but some may adapt to frozen or pellet foods.
