Potamotrygon yepezi is a captivating and unique species that can be challenging to care for in captivity. They require a spacious tank with ample swimming room. Their environment should mimic natural conditions with sand substrate, suitable water parameters, and minimal decor to prevent injury to these bottom dwellers. Due to their size and feeding habits, they are best kept either alone or with similarly sized, non-aggressive fish.
