Rasbora einthovenii are peaceful schooling fish that do well in community tanks with non-aggressive species of similar size. They are highly social and should be kept in groups of at least 6 to exhibit natural schooling behavior. The tank should be well-planted with open swimming areas to allow them to display their dazzling colors. Diet consists of small insects, crustaceans, and plant matter. They can be fed a mix of high-quality flake, frozen, and live foods. A biotope setup mimicking their natural habitat with subdued lighting and a dark substrate can enhance their coloration.
